Gardening

Within the last year, I've ' discovered ' a love for gardening. It started with wanting to add a little colour to our place.I'm proud to announce that I'm a flower mum. My babies are all doing well. Thank you. I love love love all my babies. I never imagined that a blooming flower would bring me so much joy or that my heart would break at the sight of a wilting flower. I promise, each flower has a personality...fiery, temperamental, attention seeker, fighter, sunny, you name it! Drama queen even. I love running out to work in the morning and pausing to take them all in. Waking up, Saturday mornings to full blooms, seeing the butterflies and sometimes the bees, come by to get a whiff and to steal glorious nectar. I even savour my knackered nights, returning from work yet still having to water them (of course I grumble and threaten to quit but courage I have not). I love how rewarding gardening is. Becoming an Attorney

You know how we all spoke about being all sorts of things as kids...well, that is how it started for me. From lawyer, air hostess, journalist, human resource manager, banker, even foreign service officer (aka diplomat), I've dreamed it all. All valid dreams as they represent the peculiar phases of my life. Two key determinants worth sharing though. Promise not to laugh at the first. The silly, if not vain reason:  It must have been my second or fourth undergraduate year in the University of Ghana (I forget the exact year) and I went visiting a good friend/colleague at the International Students Hostel (ISH 1) (possibly for a study date or some other similar reason). We stood on the balcony of his room, overlooking the car park and small field and behold, there gathered was a resplendent group of young adults. Saddled with a quartet of names, but I'm mostly known by Sena. Proud Gemini (great mind and mouth, whimsical, indecisive).. yeah whateverrrr!! Model daughter, cool sister, loyal friend, great wife...yep! I dare say so. Transactional lawyer - financial institutions, capital markets, financing, general corporate and commercial work: I got you, fam! I work with some of the coolest and smartest folks in the game - It truly is a privilege. I find that I love quite a number of things, including: gardening - flowers, music, food, cooking, reading and social media (Lord, help me).
